Sketch of the Day

Hello everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday (and if you get this by sub. had a wonderful Sunday! lol) Any hoot I've decided that Sunday will be my day that I look for a sketch and create a card, this week I decided to play along with the Utah Divas

This is the sketch they have this week to play with :

Here is the card I made using one of my fav. sets :Flores Suaves

I embossed the butterfly and used my dabbers to give it a soft effect. I wanted to make an elegant card so I made my card in Very Vanilla &Black.(although w/my camera it looks white/black! lol) I also used my crimper for the black strips.. (again my camera.. sniff,sniff.. or is it the photographer! lol)

As always thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful afternoon.

More Holiday Cards

Good Evening Everyone,

Hope everyone had a good day. Today as I was blog hopping I came about a blogger who used Beautiful Borders and I was in awe of her card as I thought wow that is such a pretty stamp then I said OH WAIT I have that set! I just never used it! How many of you out there in blogger land have some stamps that you have not shown any love?

I challenge to go through your unloved stamps and show them some love! Any hoot Since I am working on my Holiday cards I looked at this set and said WHY don't I try to make a Holiday card with it and Here are 3 cards that I created just testing it out. The sentiment I used is from the Country Holiday Kit. I {{HEART}} that set!

(sorry for the lighting on the pictures my camera is acting up)

The first 2 cards I made I embossed them with Silver and really like the clean simple elegant look it gave it.

For this card I also embossed it but used Clear embossing powder to go over Red Riding Hood Red. Tomorrow I am going to try some gold embossing powder these look so beautiful IRL! :)

Hope you'll feel inspired to take out those stamps you've put to the side and give them a good workout.

As always thank you for stopping by OH and don't forget about my Blog Candy!

Holiday Cheer

Good Evening everyone!

Today was my turn to have lunch duty at my sons' school and as I was cleaning up the tables which I swear are the color- Pacific Point and it made me have a light bulb moment and an idea was born of what my Christmas card should be this year. I know strange isn't it.. BUT this is what I came up with :

The sentiment I used is from the Country Holiday Kit (isn't perfect! lol)
Then I used some vellum and used my scallop border punch. For the ornament I had seen these around the blog world and they are so easy to do! And so I made them and added a special little bow with gold cord from the Holiday Mini.

I am really happy how it turned out.

This is my first batch I also will be making others in different colors which I will share once I finish them all. So now off to stamp I go! Oh and don't forget about my Blog Candy

Have a wonderful evening everyone. As always thank you so much for stopping by!

I was suppose to be Cleaning Right?

OK I'm back yet again.. why well because I had to go see what the new Color Inspiration over at Kris' blog was.

Here is what we got to play with this week :

So what happened of course I had to stop drop and stamp! lol..

Here is my card I made :

OK NOW I mean it I'm going to clean my scrap room! lol

Teacher's Gift

I wanted to create something nice for my sons' teachers as well as the School nurse and I came across this awesome project that Andrea had available I had to just try it I did a couple of things different as using different stamps, but over all I LOVED this project.

This is what the cover looked like :

Here are all 3 together this AM before I packed them off with the boys to school

This is what the inside looked like. I hope they will be useful for them during the Holidays so they can keep their lists and To Do's together in one place. I know teachers are so busy and they give so much to our children I just wanted to do a little something to say thank you.

Hope you have a wonderful day. I am off to clean up my scrap room as I have been working on swaps and have a whole mess of beautiful paper all over the place and its time for them to go back to their places so I can play again!

Thank you as always for stopping by!
