Color Throwdown #57

Good Afternoon,

What to do when your having computer issues.. Stamp of course! So that's what I am doing while I figure out my issues with my laptop once more lol... I am on my husband's computer so it might take me a little longer to post but I WILL try my best to keep it going.

Now on to my little card I made. Since I was feeling in a quiet mood I thought these colors were prefect to play with over at Color Throwdown:

I'm always up to the challenge aren't you? so this is what I came up with!

I do love my textured plates and wanted to try something so I stamped the flower from Inspired by nature with the colors for this week's throwdown. I actually like the effect it gave. What do you think?

I matted the main image with Bashful Blue and then a piece of Vellum and then used my Pixie Pink Marker to color the edges and to finish it off added two little gomments and brads. I think this card would be prefect for any occasion.

As always thank you so much for stopping by.

I am still trying to learn how to work around w/my husband's computer. SHHH I had to download editing software so I work w/my cards! lol

In the Eyes of the Beholder

Hello everyone,

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far. So this AM when I went to check out the Sketch of the week over at Mercy she had this to play with:

Then I got this idea what if I change that square into a circle? Then I thought well this would be prefect for my Technique Tuesday.

Also how I got the title of my post today I really think sketches are a wonderful source of showing what you see when you use one. As I did with my first card!

This is one of 2 of the cards that I made inspired by this sketch :

I had fun making this card as can you believe Halloween will soon be knocking at our door! Do you see those buttons.. Those are SU you know.. YES THEY REALLY ARE... actually I got the idea from Andrea.. She took some buttons and embossed them and that's just what I did! Those buttons actually were stashed because they were from our last IN Colors well NOW they became Halloween buttons! Ha...

See my Witch's little sign that's a little twig there I made for her sign I'm working on my samples for my class and one of my albums has twigs so I just use a tiny piece for this card. I really do love this Cast-A-Spell Designer Paper it has so many beautiful prints.

Now after looking at this card I said OK let me try to make a card to match that sketch and since with 1 piece of cardstock you can get 2 cards I thought I just MUST! lol

Here is my 2nd card :

So I had left over pieces from yesterday cards and came up with this. I decided to pull out another of my stamps that I really do love, can you ever make a wrong card with this set? I THINK NOT! I embossed the flower and on the top I decided to add some dazzling diamonds. If you haven't noticed by yet with my cards YES I love my Signo Pen I just love to doodle! lol..

For this sentiment I went for my Trendy Trees (which I am using for other cards right now.. I told you I could never just stamp 1 card at a time! lol) and thought it went perfect don't you think?

Well I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and as always thank you for stopping by!

Materials :

Stamps :Halloween Hoot(111582), Inspired By Nature111656), Trendy Trees(113258)

Chat Attack!

Hello everyone!

Today I wanted on my Showcase Monday to post about one of my fav. stampers :) I love going over to Chat's blog because I know she will have me saying HMMMM I got to try that! lol..

So I took a look at her birthday cards she had recently had and these cards are my take on them.
My First card :

I really had fun making these creations because as my cards from yesterday I used the same elements for all 3 cards. This really is a challenge for me as I always end up with 3 0r 4 projects by the time I finally complete 1 card. hehehehe....

I used as she did Crazy for Cupcakes one of those sets that was a MUST have and today I had to dust it off.. THE SHAME right! I am happy I took it out I had forgot how cute it was.
For the cupcake top portion don't know if you can tell but I used Shimmery White Cardstock for that fun effect. I did use another sentiment from another set Little Birthday Cheer
Here is my 2nd Inspired Card :

Here again I used the same elements and wanted to add minimal colors but enough to make an impact.

3rd Inspired Card :

For this card I used another Sentiment from the set : God's Blessing but keep the foundation the same as Chat's.
I hope you will be inspired by the many amazing stampers out there and give it a try and see what you get inspired to do!
As always thank you so much for dropping by! Don't be shy leave me a comment and let me know you stopped by.

The M Series

Hello everyone!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Yesterday we went to my SIL's baby shower for she is expecting and soon to be bringing into our family my 2nd nephew YEAH.. so I wasn't able to post because of that and because well my Sassy decided that some cards I had made needed a "Sassy" touch and so she "kidnapped" them and to my shock I found them in their box (I have a yellow box I put those cards in) decorated with her Milk from her sippy cup! YES interesting day indeed!... BUT I dusted myself off and here I am about to share w/you my M series that I created today!

Ok here is the story of me and the "M series" I LOVEEEE BMW's and what is my fav.. of course the M series and since I can't have one (well I would need to learn how to drive first huh? LOL) I got the 2nd best thing.. My fav. stamp from our Catalog -Medallion Background Stamp(115223) or as I call it MY "M" stamp! lol...

These cards aren't really from a sketch just the focus point are the same that is why I added this to my Sunday Sketch post as I gave you 3 ways to use the Main ingredient. Ok enough of my rambling how about some cards huh?

Here is my first one :

With all 3 you will see I pretty much used the same base as well as Focal point. Kraft Cardstock (102125) makes this girl oh so happy! lol.. I used my Gel pen to add a special touch as well as the Small Grommets(114339) and inserted in the middle a half pearl from the Pretties Kit(109114) as well as some use of my Mat Pack (105826) for the design.

Here is my 2nd card:

For this card I wanted to have a sentiment and as you can see for my next card I used the other sentiment from this set-Fresh Cuts(111634) did you guys forget about that set?! I love the font on the words don't you? I also did some foe stiching with my Gel Pen (105021)

Now Last but not least my 3rd card I created :

Ok for this one I think I gave it that Bollywood feel don't you think? Another of my loves.. Bollywood movies! YES really ask my husband he'll peek in my stamp room and you'll sure to see me watching one while I stamp! lol...

For this I used our Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon(115613) the reverse side as well as Hemp Twine(100982) and creating this fun look! As you can see this is the other sentiment of the Set Fresh Cuts(111634) to finish off this card. As always I thank you so much for stopping by!

Materials:

Stamps: Mediallon,Fresh Cuts

Ink: Crushed Curry,Rich Razzleberry

Ribbon: Polka Dot-Rich Razzleberry,Hemp Twine

Acessories, Signo Gel Pen,Mat Pack,Small Grommets,Prettiest Kit,Vintage Brads

Mojo on a Roll!!

I couldn't help but play again with Mojo Monday! I am having too much fun and it gave me a chance to use a new Big Shot Die that I had been DYING To get! I LOVE IT.. IF you don't have it.. WHY NOT!! GET IT NOW :)

Here is the Sketch they had for today :

Here is my take on this Sketch :

So now you see which Big Shot Die I'm drooling over? The beautiful Flower Daisies #2 (114520) OH how much fun is this !! I think I could sit here and just cut these out all day!

(here it is on it side to show the flower pop!)

On this card since I had out that same sheet of Flock Together from my last card I used it on this card as well. Then to pair it up I went into yet ANOTHER package of Designer Paper that I really think is my favorite so far.

This one is going to be available in the Mini Holiday Catalog on September 1st- which is Autumn Meadows(116769). That paper is knock your socks off GOOOOJUSS if I do say so myself! Instead of adding a sentiment I just added some bling as bling makes every card better!

I had so much fun making this card I am in the process of making a couple of more so I can give away.

As always thank you for stopping by and back to work for me!

Material :

Cardstock: Whisper White,Chocolate Chip,Crushed Curry,Kraft

Designer Paper: Flock Together

Ribbon : Choc. Chip Taffeta, Organza -Whisper White

Accessories: Prettiest Brads,Jumbo Brad

MojoTeresa Style

Hello all!

I have been busy preparing samples for my upcoming classes and I hope to see you there as they will have loads of techniques and fun!

In the middle of me "working" I took time to play as there are some awesome sketches going on this week!

Again I went with Mojo Monday here is the Sketch they had yesterday:

This is my take on this sketch :

I am in love with this beautiful stamp set that will be available in the Holiday Mini starting September 1st called Gifts of the Earth (116501) it really is very striking and coloring it is even more fun.

I wanted to do a Fallish card because if you are anywhere near New York you will be feeling like me muggy and hot! lol So I did this card to think of my favorite season to come!

I hope you can see that I used a textured Plate to emboss the Kraft Cardstock(102125) which is really fun because it gives an extra embellishment. I am also proud of myself as I went into my stash of Designer Paper and actually cut into yet another package that I have been saving which is Flock Together(114018) and I used again Cast-A-Spell(115677) isn't that fun bet you would have never guess that one huh!

As always I thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Threw in some Linen thread(#104199) and some of that YUMO Black Striped Grosgrain (#115615). Used a bit of doodling(Signo Gel Pen-#105021) and Dazzling Diamonds (#102023) as well as added texture to the cardstock by using one of my textured plates(#114512)

Well its late for me and tomorrow is another stamping day for me as well as some running around to do. I just wanted to post this card how you like it! As always thank you so much for stopping by!

Technique Tuesday- Beary Hello!

Hey everyone...

Today's little project I wanted to share has a little technique which is created with our Color Spritzer(#1o7066) to make the "spattered look." Also included in this cute little project I decided to paper pierce as well. One of my fav. things to do!

In order to not have the little bear "spattered" in color I just stamped him and masked over and then did the spattering.
This is a little "hello gift" for a special little friend who I haven't had a chance to say hello in a while so I will be mailing it out to his mommy so she can give it to him.

Inside are sheets for him to color the bear anyway he wants! This is a super easy project to make all you need to do is cut a piece of cardstock (Ballet Blue-#100613) down to 3 1/2 x 10 and then score at 3 3/4 as well as 8 1/2 and then fold.

I then stapled on each side once I had stamped a couple of the image bear on reg. copy paper and added some Crushed Curry ribbon (#115614) used the non -polka dot side to hide where the staples are. There you have it a quick little something to make any kid smile!
As always thank you for stopping by! Don't be shy you can leave a comment I wouldn't bite promise! lol
Materials:

Cardstock: Ballet Blue.Barely Banana,Whisper White, Green Galore

Designer Paper -*coming soon from mini 9/1*-Pawsitively Prints

Stamp: * coming soon from mini 9/1-Beary Best Friends,Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Basic Black,Old Olive,Crushed Curry,Ballet Blue,Green Galore,Creamy Carmel,So Saffron

Ribbon: Crushed Curry Polka Dot Ribbon

Return of TechniqueTuesday!

Hello again everyone! I thought it was time to get back into the swing of things don't you think? So I have decided to get on the ball and start posting my "special" postings again and I thought I would start w/today Technique Tuesday.

This card was actually one of my General Swaps I made for Convention. I was going crazy w/this little card because I wanted to make it so it would be Convention worthy! lol... I think I did because this was the one gals were grabbing for and it made me very happy :)

The Technique that I am focusing today is the "Spotlighting" Technique as you can see I choose a couple of the snowman from the Hostess Level 3 Set : The More the Merrier which I LOVEE!!! It is so much fun!

It may look a little time consuming especially when you say hmm I think I will make 30 of these! lol... But really what took the longest was punching out the "spotlights" and matching them up wasn't really that hard... and I colored them in while I watched movies on Netflix! lol...

So give it a try its really a cute and fun technique that makes your card pop!

As always thank you so much for stopping by!

Also don't forget if you have been thinking of becoming a demo NOW is the time and if you sign up with my team you will get The Exclusive Stampin Up Build a Bear which includes a stamp and $25.00 in free SU goodies of your choice from me! SO don't delay! Only have 1 bear left.
