Blessings

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. As for me I was actually working on some cards but stopped and was emailing with a dear friend who gave me that push to submit something for Shelli's Monthly Challenge.

Shelli said to make something (open range) that would show what we are thankful for well if you know me that is a no brainier as it would have to be about my babies. Therefore I thought hmm should I make a scrapbook page, then I thought of how I will be taking a trillion pics (OH I FOUND MY CAMERA! HA.. YEAH!!!) and when I take the pictures I always wish I had somewhere to joint down my memories of the moment because I have the worst memory. Then I thought what could I do. Then the light bulb went off and this is what I came up with :

What is it you ask? Well its my Scrapbook prep book! To start to create this album I had to decide what size I wanted it and since I would have to stick it in my bag when we go to our family for Thanksgiving. I had some 5x7 1/2 Stampin Up Chipboard around (ok I always have chipboard around lol) and then I cut it down to 5x6 (2 boards for front and back) and for the spine I cut a 1x6 piece and then I grabbed some DP from the Holiday Mini- Autumn Vine (YUMO) and cut one at 6 1/4 x 11 and then started to make my book. To cover the inside I used another sheet (aren't you proud of me I cut in to my Designer paper!) and that one was cut into 6x11. To bind the book I used our Tombow glue. What I suggest for you to do is is do one board at a time so that way when you close your book it wouldn't be wrinkled inside. Also for the "Blessing" outside I used my Chipboard letters I had left over from Regionals and painted then with my ink Craft Inks! Then took one of my flowers from my Prettiest Kit and dressed it with color as well.

So what does the inside look like your wondering? Well I'm glad you asked..

As you can see for the inside I used 2 of our Clear Envelopes and cut the flap off of both. One of the envelopes will hold my pictures(for now they have my Sassy pics which I took but will soon be replaced with my Thanksgiving pics of the kids) Then of course I am always looking for a pen so that is what I have in the middle I adhered a 3 inch piece of Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon(Chocolate YUMO Chip) and put a pen in there. Then I said well since I made this cute book I have to make a cute little scrap pad right? and so I remembered something I learned watching my SU WOW DVD (see another perk being a demo! lol) and made my own little version.. These pages are 4x6 and scored at 1 inch and used the DP again to cover where it was scored and added some eyelets and into the pocket it went. I am so excited because when we go around the table I will be able to write down what the kids (ok the boys lol were thankful this year) and I can hear it now when I get to the dinner "Ellie why didn't you make me one!" Lol.. Well this project was really fun and so easy I just might surprise them!

Here is another little pic of the inside with the scrap pad out of the envelope :

As always thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful evening everyone.
