Stampin Addict Blog Hop

Welcome to your NEXT stop Port # 26 of this fun Blog Hop that was put together by one amazing Site- Stampinaddicts.com dedicated to Stampin Up.

For this Blog Hop we are paying tribute to those stamps that made us drool and work our Mojo and now we must say Bye-bye so that we are able to Welcome the New goodies that will start the Love affair all over again!

If you are here that means you were over at Port #25-Sharon's Blog and came here for more Fun... Well let's start shall we!

My Set that I am using is Illuminations and I actually used both the English and Spanish Versions

I wanted to create this project actually to give to my brother! He is one who always is looking for a card but can never find one so I thought why not make this for him.

So I made a little Card holder I thought would be prefect as he could just take it w/him and tuck it in his desk at work!

Here is a group shot of my the my little gift.

When creating this project using Illuminations I had to remember I was doing this for a guy and so I went for those beautiful In Colors we have enjoyed that are Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss and of course if you know me I also had to use my fav. Kraft cardstock in it too.

I wanted the cards to be simple and clean so even though I did add accessories to the cards they are still something a guy would like! lol

As you can see this stamp set might have made you think how much can I really do but just your imagination and you can have different beautiful creations.

For my first card I made use of the Cherish stamp and scattered stamped with Versa Mark and came up with a pretty background then used my gel pen to add foe stitches to the letter C.

Next card( to the Right) I stamped the Hope stamp using the Spanish Set and added eyelets for the accent as well as my trusty Gel pen again for a simple and clean design around the card.

The next card I just made it a bit smaller and changed the position of the eyelets.

For the 4th card I did something I love to do. I paper Pieced the Letter A (this is Cherish in Spanish) and I wanted this card to pop and so I added some buttons and a little bit of the Satin Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla ribbon and there you have another pretty card.

If you come back next week I will be having a video on how to make the little Card Holder! I hope you have enjoyed my Blog Hop and now head on over to Port# 27 Stacy's Blog for more Blog Hop Fun where she is showcasing Big Flowers!

As always I thank you for stopping by and Enjoy your Blog Hop Weekend!

  7. Thanks Ellie for showing off this wonderful set. This was the first set I bought after becoming a demo but I scared myself off when the first thing I stamped with it used the White Craft Ink that came in my Demo Starter Kit. I had no real idea how different Craft ink was and the one I got was muy juicy. Took weeks for the card to dry because I didn't know I needed the heat tool - LoL! Ah well the perils of a newbie stamper becoming a demo!

Thanks for sharing the creativity and inspiration - Jean
