Another Little Gift

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well. My youngest son has the Flu but thank goodness he is doing much better this AM he was running around in the house playing so that is always a wonderful sign he on the road to getting better.

Today I will share a gift I want to give to my Midwife this weekend when I see her for my yearly appt. She is such an amazing person and wonderful friend I wanted to bring a little something to make her smile.

This is what I made for her :



I was giggling because I DID color the J with a Mellow Moss Marker but on this Pic it still looks like its just naked! LOL)

Here is the inside :




I had fun making these simple but elegant cards I took one sheet from the YUMO Pack of Taste of Textiles and cut it it into 4 squares of 6x6 and scored in the middle to make my 4 cards. I also did add Cardstock inside on one side of each card so she will be able to use the cards as she wishes. I hope she likes it . The stamp set that I used is called Dear Friend its a Level 1 Hostess Set which is really beautiful and wonderful to watercolor which is what I used.

I learned how to make this quick project from the amazing Andrea she had actually made this for the holidays as a Hot Cocoa holder but I just turned it to card holder!

Upcoming Fun!

Hello everyone! Happy Monday to you.. I like Mondays don't you? I don't like them JUST because House is on Mondays lol but because I feel its the start of the week, and its a way to start fresh and start being creative all over again!

With that said I have a project I want to share with you which actually will be an upcoming class next month!

OH How I love New Goodies

Good afternoon everyone. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. As for me I got a chance to create and have fun with some new goodies!

I must say my fav. thing right now that is making me giggle every time I use are the Textured Plates.. OH MY GOSH.. TOO much fun!

I love that effect it gives the cards oh I already see so many projects using these Textured Plates.

Baby Gift

Good Saturday to everyone!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday afternoon. Today I want to share with you a little gift I made for my Husband's Friend. His girlfriend and him just had a baby and I wanted to make a little something and we are suppose to stop by tomorrow and see them. I wanted to make something cute to give them that they could keep besides the little gift inside.


Well If you know me I have a thing for boxes and there has been this box has been everywhere and I just had to make it! To get the instructions just click HERE


So here is my project and its showcasing some some goodies that are going to be part of the SAB coming up VERY Soon starting in Feb!





This is what the box looks like. The Sentiment is from one of the stamps from SAB. Its really wonderful as it has so many sentiments in it!


This is what I put inside (I took off his ribbon and put some Stampin Up Taffeta ribbon! HA

I attached a card to the inside don't know if you can really see the sentiment but that is from the stamp set "God's Blessing" I did the swirl paper piercing by making a swirl on the back of the cardstock and then following the line to pierce it! I love how it looks :)

Do you see that Green yummy ribbon I used to close the box.. THAT as well is in the SAB coming in Feb. are you excited and drooling.. WAIT there is more so is the beautiful flowers that is one of the sets.. So do you want it all? Taylor's Cupcake Challenge and First Video!

Yes you read that one right! OH MY GOSH.. ok I am soo nervous but like the Nike commerials say JUST DO IT right! lol...

I made this little video so I could share with you how I made my little embleshiment for my card using the new embosslit that will be available starting on Moday! I had a couple of emails asking how I did it on a previous card I had posted and now you have your answer with my first video!

Color Inspiration #38

Its that time again to play with Kristina and her awesome Color Inspiration! This is what we had to work with this week :

I was looking about and thinking what I should use for my card when I remembered that The Sweet Always Designer paper has these colors in it! So I used it in my card.
Since I used the Sweet Always paper I decided to use my stamp set Always to match with the paper and to color the heart I just used my markers (can you tell I am loving the tri-color technique! lol)





The sentiment as well is from the set. Well I hope you are all keeping warm where you are. My friends in Canada were telling me it was something -58 I CAN NOT EVEN IMAGE! BRRR but still it is pretty cold here in NY!

What do you do w/Your Blog Hopping

Come on I know I'm not the only one with a Favorites list so long you wonder when did it get that long! lol Well for me another of my things this year is to only have on my list blogs that I actually visit AND learn from then I made another list which is for just my entertainment.

So with that said I am going to share with you 2 cards that were inspired by visiting 3 blogs which would be Kristina, Heather and Angie

I love these blogs and visit them daily to see what they might be up to. This is what cooked up in my brain from doing so.

My first card was inspired by Heather and Angie to put these love birds together as I did. I had seen a couple of card out there with the different color streaks and had to give it a go. I like that affect (that was from Angie) the frame where I put my focus point came from Heather. She made a cute little card with that frame and I thought I would use it here as well as the edging one of my fav. techniques at that and the rest was me lol..

Then came this card in which I watched Kristina's Make A Card Monday did you guys watch it. I loved it! That is where I got the idea of doing the border and that tiny little strip of cardstock for my card as well as the paper piercing! I again used the streak affect but this time I used my scraps to do the trio colors just adhere the scraps to a piece of copy paper and use your punch of choice and there you have it!



So you see my little flower do you love it? OH that is one of the new embosslit dies that is in the NEW Spring/Summer Stampin Up Catalog and there are 4 just as awesome!


How do I know because I got my box of Catalogs yesterday! AhHHHHHHH.. lol.. If you are in my Congo Line Hostess Group you got your email that I am mailing them out Tomorrow!

The Mouse Full of Love

Did my post title make you say HUH??? lol..

well I looked at this little mouse from Happy Heart Day and he looks like he has something to tell and I imaged that would be the title of his story! lol

Any hoot using this stamp set was part of my challenge with my Awesome and wonderful Friend Suzanne that I told you about yesterday. We had to use this set as everyone seems to have forgotten it even though its only on the dormant list and not retired . So if you have this set take it out and give it some love, don't have it? AND WHY NOT well just let me know and we will get it on its way right away so you can make some cute creations too.


So what did I do with my Challenge well I started out just making one card and I thought hey way not make these Isaac's Kindergarten Valentine Day cards and so I started and OH MY GOSH what date is today its only the 10th (Happy Bday Bro!) and I am half way done with one of my boys Valentine day cards! YEAHHH for Challenges.

Hope all is well for you all. I am still fighting this cold that doesn't want to leave me completely but I was able to play today. My good friend Suzanne and I are challenging to better ourselves for the new year and why not start with one of Kristina's awesome Color Challenges! This week the color was super duper yummy!

Its Time To Start

Scrapbooking!

Hello everyone,

So One of my New Year Resolutions is to scrapbook again and I thought a wonderful way to give me that push was to form a group of 5 gals(including myself) in which each month I would be able to create 2 Layouts which could be used for a 12x12 or 8x8 Layout and then on the side give 2 other sketches to create cards.(the Kits brings allot of material so you will have extra left over to use for extra layouts and cards each month)

Are you like me who have so many pictures that you have taken and had vowed to scrapbook them and now instead of 2-3 pictures you have more then 100! (I know I do)

So here is my idea for $25.00(before shipping and handling) a mth for the next 5 mths 4 ladies plus myself will get a Simply Scrappin Kit plus an embellishment Which will include our very own Scrapbook Blog where I will post our layouts and samples and where we will be able share our creations as well PLUS if you join me each of us will be able to be have a turn at being Hostess Queen for a month which would give you the chance at getting Free Stampin Up Merchandise and a min. of a Level One Hostess set from the NEW Spring/Summer Catalog!

Hello everyone,

We had fun yesterday celebrating our little Peanut's 2nd day. How time sure does fly doesn't it. Of course after the holidays and now her Bday I will be needing Thank you cards. I need to mass produce them as there loads we need to send and in that matter both in Spanish and English.

So yesterday evening I challenged myself to make some cards in only 30 mins. with whatever I had on my craft table! Soo my first attempt. hmm scary! lol.. So I said let me go again.. Yes I have allot of paper on my desk and so I grabbed the rest of the cardstock I had on my desk and my stamp set Illuminations which I have in both Spanish and English.

These sets are so elegant and beautiful. I just stamped them with VersaMark and embossed it with Silver Embossing powder and paper pierced the bottom and added some ribbon and I have my Thank you cards! (well the start of them) How easy is that!

Not bad for 30 mins. right? Well I am off as I am going to my MIL's now. Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and I shall be back tomorrow with a couple of sketches I've been working on.
